DJH - Hoherodskopf

How to get there:
By car
For those of you that take the “1987” (Back to the Future) theme so seriously and won’t use your GPS.

From the south (i.e. Frankfurt):
Take the A5.
Leave the autobahn at exit 16: “Friedberg”.
Use B455 in direction “Rosbach”.  
Stay on B455, pass through Friedberg (and a few other small places) until you are in Schotten (you should have passed the Nidda Stausee on the right). Watchout for Speed Traps!!
In Schotten turn right onto Vogelsbergstraße and after just less than 1 km again right in the direction of Breungeshain (K 103).
In Breungeshain, turn left onto Hoherodtsstraße (L3338).
After about 2 km look for signs (FHHH or Deutsche Jugendherberge).  They should point left.  Sweet, you’ve made it!!

If you don’t see a sign, you’ve been a ditz and are now in deep shit.  Go back to the last known check!

From the north:
Use the same exit from A5 or use your GPS, dude!

With public transport:

and check out the public transport options to Bahnhof Nidda and try to get a lift from there.
Alternatively, going to Bahnhof Lauterbach you can take the 'Vogelsberger Vulkan-Express' VB-91 (buses) directly through to Hoherodskopf (last stop) and walk from there or take a taxi to the hostel - it's not far!
On Sunday, the VB-93 or VB-94 will take you directly from the hostel to Bahnhof Nidda (sorry, these once only run at the weekends for some reason) - timetables will be available at the hostel.
THE EASIEST OPTION: TRY TO GET A LIFT FROM FRANKFURT OR ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

PARKING
There is no parking directly at the hostel but off-loading only!
Parking is approx 300mtrs away from the hostel and will be sign posted driving there and walking back (this will be your first trail of the weekend!! Find it!!)
PLEASE DO NOT PARK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE HOSTEL BUT USE THE ALLOCATED LOT!
