Description

Use A3 (east) til exit Hanau (exit 54); keep right follow signs Rodgau, Dieburg, Babenhausen and stay on B45;
pass through Rodgau, Rödermark, Dieburg-north and keep right still following B45 direction Gross- Umstadt, Höchst
(for a short while B45 is joined by B26 dir. Darmstadt); keep going on B45, pass Gross-Umstadt.
Now the road starts climbing a bit, on the left the forest ("Odenwald" again!) starts and on the right you see in the distance a little fortress (VESTE) on a hillside: this is your destination! leave B45 and enter B426, pass under railway bridge (station: Wiebelsbach-Heubach) and in OTZBERG-ZIPFEN you turn left following the brown and white sign VESTE OTZBERG.There is also a blue and white sign saying PARKING in 1400m, 1000m etc; when you reach OTZBERG- HERING turn left again (FH3 sign) and follow "P" sign to parking lot (FH3 sign) on your right.

Distance: from f-south approx 52 km, driving time (depending on traffic on A3) about 35 minutes
